Why does ikaris fly into the sun?
Overcome with vertigo while flying, Icarushe obeyed his fatherand soared into the air. He got too close to the sun and the heat melted the beeswax that held his feathers together. One by one, Icarus' feathers fell like snowflakes. Ikaros waved his "wings".
Wracked with guilt over his betrayal of Arishem and his actions against his fellow eternals, Ikaris leaves Earth and flies into the Sun, ending its life.
Icarus, in Greek mythology, son of the inventor Daedalusdied when he flew too close to the sun with wax wings.
After the battle, Ikaris is bound, and when all the Eternals combine their powers ("Uni-Mind") behind Sersi, they are able to stop the apparition and turn the new Celestial into marble, saving Earth. Ikaris feels extremely guilty afterwards…it flies from the planet, directly into the sun.
We know that Ikaris cannot fly at the speed of light, and a cursory Google search shows Ikaris's flight speed of 850 mph. The Sun is 92,483 million miles from Earth. Based on that, if our calculation is correct, he took Ikaris12.4 yearsto expose oneself to the sun, to think about one's life choices.
However, unlike his DC counterpart Superman, Ikaris' powers do not come from the sun, meaning he could not survive the unimaginable heat and pressure inside a star. Meanwhile, Vječni co-author Kaz Firpo ended the debate and confirmed itIkaris really has it.
Gilgamesh
In terms of raw physical strength, Gilgamesh (Don Lee) is arguably the strongest Eternal.
Icarus ishe is not god; he is a human figure from Greek mythology. He is the son of Daedalus, who died trying to escape from the tower with mechanical wings.
Like all Eternals, his life force is enhanced by cosmic energy, and he has complete mental control over his physical form and bodily processes, even when asleep or unconscious. It's Icarisone of the most powerful Eternals in existenceand the second most powerful on Earth, right after Zuras.
As Icarus' wings absorbed more and more radiation in the thermosphere, the wax would eventually melt. A 2013 paper published in the Journal of Interdisciplinary Science Topics calculated and concluded that its wings would melt under vacuum in less than an hour of direct sunlight.
Can only Icaris fly?
Like King, Ikaris can fire blasts of cosmic energy (through his eyes, not his hands), buthe was also the only Eternal who could fly.
Thor surpasses Ikaris in all physical attributesso Thor would take the fight with little or no effort. here's what one of the producers has to say about the power level of the Eternals compared to the Avengers: “….

Both Omni-Man and Ikaris also have an advantage over Superman: they have never been afraid to fight and kill. But that's part of the beauty of Superman, and part of the reason he'd destroy both Omni-Man and Ikaris: The Man of Steel has always struggled with restraint.
Icarus ignored Daedalus' instructions not to fly too close to the sun, causing the beeswax in his wings to melt.Icarus fell from the sky, crashed into the sea and drowned. The idiom "flying too close to the sun" was born out of myth.
Finally, Ikaris is definitely the strongest Eternal, and everyone else in the group recognizes his powers. The fact thathe is the only Eternal who can fly, talks a lot. In addition, he has the physical strength to overpower the rest of the group together.
Ikaris possesses the conventional abilities of Eternals from Earth. His body is enhanced with cosmic energy and he has complete mental control over his entire molecular structure. He is almost immune to damage and can regenerate his entire body if necessary.
When Ikaris the Eternal was created, he was given the power to fly and shoot lasers from his eyes. Technically, he's Marvel's Superman without a cape.
